Allie Farone, MSc

Biography

Allie is a Research Coordinator at the Center for Pain and Behavioral Health who moved to Headshot of Allie Farone, MScGainesville from her hometown in Upstate New York. She attended Stetson University and graduated in 2018 obtaining her BA in Psychology with a minor in Creative Writing. She completed her senior research project studying the impact of affection received in childhood and adolescence on adult psychological well-being. Allie was a postgraduate student at the University of Stirling in Scotland graduating in November 2020 with a Master’s of Science degree in Psychological Research Methods specializing in Neuropsychology and Cognition. Her dissertation was a mixed methods study on how the ownership and loss of a pet can influence an individual’s existential thinking and acceptance of mortality.
